Great Together

we could have been great together.

If only we had our first date.

Some forty years before.

It's hard seeking a companion and lover

    in our advanced years.

Most are set in their ways

    and unforgiving.

Not as open as in our youth.

We create such a narrow booth to dwell in

    towards the end.

It becomes harder to make new friends.
